Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information The Hook Room's posting tool and this website use, and why. The Service is run by the creator behind the TikTok account @thehookroomcom.

1. Whose data

The posting tool only accesses the TikTok account of the creator who connects it through TikTok Login Kit (today, our own account @thehookroomcom). It does not access any other TikTok user's account or data.

2. What we use

• Basic profile (user.info.basic): open ID, display name and avatar, used to show which account is connected.
• Posting options from TikTok's creator info endpoint: nickname, the privacy options available to the account, whether comments, Duet and Stitch are allowed, and the maximum video length. Used only to show the correct choices before posting.
• Video upload and publish (video.upload, video.publish): the video file, title and post settings you choose, sent to TikTok to create the draft or post, and the post status TikTok returns.
• Access tokens issued by TikTok after you sign in, used to make these requests on your behalf.

We do not request or collect followers, likes, comments, messages, contacts, location or any other personal data.

3. How it is stored

TikTok tokens and app credentials are stored only on the operator's own machine, in files readable only by the operator's user account. They are never written to logs, shared, or sent anywhere other than to TikTok. A local log keeps upload records (file name, title, post ID and status) so we can track what was posted.

4. Sharing

We do not sell, rent or share your data with anyone. Data is sent only to TikTok, which is necessary to upload and publish content. TikTok's own handling of your data is covered by TikTok's Privacy Policy.

5. Retention and deletion

Tokens are kept while the account is connected and deleted when the connection is removed. You can revoke access at any time in the TikTok app (Settings and privacy → Security and permissions → Apps and services permissions). To have any stored data about your account deleted, message @thehookroomcom on TikTok and we will delete it and confirm.

6. This website

This website is a static site hosted on Cloudflare Pages. It sets no cookies, uses no analytics or trackers, and has no forms. Cloudflare may process standard request data (such as IP address) to deliver and protect the site.

7. Children

The Service is not intended for anyone under 18.

8. Changes

We may update this policy; the date above shows the latest version.
